Indian shuttler PV Sindhu fell in the final obstacle of the World Badminton Championship. She was defeated by Carolina Marin of Spain, 21-19 21-10. Due to many errors, Sindhu once again missed out on making history in the World Badminton Championships.
Carolina Marin won the World Badminton Championship gold for the third time by defeating World No. 3 Sindhu. Marin defeated Sindhu in a match lasting 45 minutes in straight games 21-19, 21-10.
Due to this defeat, Sindhu had to be satisfied with the silver medal once again. This is her second silver. She has also won the bronze medal twice in this tournament.
Marin started well in the first game, but Sindhu also equaled Marin 3-3. After this the Indian player started picking up momentum against the Spanish player and pushed and at one point led 11-15 in the opening game.
Reacting fast, Marin made a comeback in the game and taking advantage of Sindhu’s mistakes, she leveled the score at 18-18. Here, Sindhu got a score and went up 19-20 against Marin.
But twice won the World Badminton Championships gold medalist, Marin scored a point and defeated Sidhu 21-19 in the first game. Marin, after not giving a chance to return to Sindhu in the second game, and dominating the match, Marin raced to a 11-2 lead in the second game.
