Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat attended a function organized by the Safai Karamchari Organisation of the Municipal Corporation to express gratitude to the CM for issuance of Government Order pertaining to disbursal of Rs 275 to Safai Karamchari as daily labour charges. Chief Minister said that to fulfil the dream of Swachh Bharat Mission of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it is important to keep in mind the interests of sanitary workers, who makes significant contribution in cleanliness drive.
Chief Minister said that considering the hard work of the sanitary workers and keeping their rights in mind, it was decided to increase the remuneration. Cooperation of everyone is to fulfill the dream of the Prime Minister that everyone should have their own house, toilet, electricity, water and gas connections by year 2022. A proper plan will be made to provide home within three years to those residing in the Malin Bastis in the state.
Chief Minister said that it is necessary to fully eradicate corruption for the development of the country and the state. The main damage of the corruption is on the weaker and poor sections of the society. In order to completely curb the corruption, cooperation of everyone is required.
Urban Development Minister Madan Kaushik said that sanitary workers have the most important role in realizing the dream of the Swachh Bharat Mission of the Prime Minister. State government is constantly trying to improve the situation of the local bodies. Expansion of local bodies is being done. In order to provide ownership rights to those living in Malin Bastis in three years, some way-out would be found.
On this occasion, MLA Khajandas, State Secretary of BJP Sunil Uniyal ‘Gamma’, Municipal Commissioner Vijay Kumar Jogdande, Former President Safai Karamchari Commission Bhagwat Prasad Makwana and President of Safai Kamchar Union Rajesh Kumar were present.
