50 project worth of Rs 20000 cr for investors summit

A total of 50 projects worth 20,000 crore have been prepared for the “Investors Summit” proposed to be held in the first week of October. Chief Secretary Utpal kumar Singh presiding over a preparatory meeting in this regard, asked all the departments to submit a policy attracting investments by August 15.  In the meeting held at Secretariat on Monday, Chief Secretary instructed the officials to prepare projects aimed at attracting investments and FDRs.

It was informed in the meeting that there are opportunities of investment in the fields of IT, Bio-technology, skill; development, electronics, food park, ware housing, film making, medical health, fish farming, organic farming and production, wellness tourism, Yoga, herbs, aromatic plants and senior citizens living. The state government will be holding roads shows in different cities to showcase the availability of resources in the state, connectivity, law and order situation, availability of power, land lease policy, single window system and other facilities being provided to investors.  Through round table conferences in different countries, the information about friendly environment of investments in Uttarakhand will be provided.

Principal Secretary Industry Manisha Panwar, Principal Secretary Home Anand Vardhan, Secretary Tourism Dilip Jawalkar, Secretary Agriculture D,Senthil Pandian, Commisioner Garhwal Shailesh Bagoli, Secretary Bio-technology Ravinath Raman, Director ,ITDA Amit Sinha, Additional Secretary IT Chandresh and other officers were present in the meeting.
