Advocate team to be formed on department-wise

Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, a review meeting with the law officers in the Honorable Courts was organised at CM residence on Saturday.

Chief Minister said that such meetings should be organized in the future as well for having a better coordination between the government and the advocates. Instructions were issued to comply with the suggestions received during the meeting. For the right resolution of court related matters, emphasis was laid on the need for better coordination between government and advocates and teamwork.

Chief Minister said that for the early disposal of cases in courts, a team of advocates should be formed department wise. This would enable them to understand the functioning of the department, so that they can submit the cases efficiently in the court. This will provide good results in disposing off court cases in the future. He said that the cases will be disposed off quickly, if they are presented in the courts in highly competent manner. For this, it is important to have a better dialogue. He said that our effort should be to keep our arguments in the courts on time and in the right manner.

Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh said that pertaining to the courts related matter, the government officers, department officers and advocates of the government should coordinate with each other and proceed with efficiency and transparency. He said that in order to ensure as to how the system can be improved, it is necessary to set the responsibility for it and move forward.

State Advocate General S.N. Babulkar said that efforts will be made to resolve the issues, which have been raised by the government and senior advocates in the meeting.

In the meeting, discussions were held on the issues of the measures for timely receipt of writ petitions, improvement in the quality of Counter File of Counter Affidavits, how to establish a better coordination between government officials and advocates in matters of courts and other matters.

The meeting was attended by MLA Munna Singh Chauhan, Advocate General SN Babulkar, Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Om Prakash, Radha Raturi, Principal Secretary Justice Meena Tiwari, Principal Secretary Home Anand Bardhan, Secretary Nitesh Jha, Dilip Jawalkar along with Advocates General, Additional Advocate General, Deputy Advocate General, Advocates-On-Record and other advocates.
