union government has approved five roads of Uttarakhand having length of 570 kilometer worth of Rs 10000 under Bharatmala project. We have fixed deadline to complete the construction work by next six month.
Under five projects, 94 kilometer worth of Rs 2000 crore Baiznath-tharali-karnprayag road; 147 km worth of Rs 1200 crore Askot-dharchula-malpa-Lipulekh road; 216 km long worth of Rs 4500 crore Baiznath-Bageshwar-Kapkot-Munsyari-Seraghat-Jauljivi and 51 km worth of Rs 1000 crore Mana-Musa pani-Mana paas and 63 km worth of Rs 1000 crore joshimath-malari route. This was disclosed during review meeting led by union surface transport minister Nitin Gadkari in the presence of chief minister trivnedra singh rawat here in Dehradun on January 8.
CM instructed to the chief secretary to convene meeting with district magistrate and complete the land acquisition, distribution of compensation and forest land transfer as soon as possible. He sad that state government is taking this project on priority basis so you fix the accountability of every individuals. He also asked them to give emphasis on quality, deadline and sensitivity towards public inconvenienced too. Power department has been askd to shift power line and power pole too.
ACS Omprakash disclosed that 400 km out of 899 km construction work tender have been awarded. Gadkari appreciated the work progress and asked them to complete the tender procedure by March 2018. He also asked them to expedite the work at badethi and naalupani land slide area. A tunnel over the Ganga-Yamuna valley worth of Rs 1300 crore construction work would begin shortly.
