SEC to convene all parties meeting on Jan 5

In view of upcoming urban local bodies election, which is somewhere in March, the State Election Commission has decided to convene all parties meeting on January 5. Meanwhile state election commission has served noticed to four political parties including BJP and Congress to submit their annual audit report and No dues certificate from income tax department by January 10.

The State Election commissioner, Subardhan said that discussion of outlay limit of the candidates for different positions of urban local bodies would be held. They would be apprised about the model code of conduct for the elections and their strict adherence.

They would be informed about the audit report and no pendency certificate from the income department including the process to submit them in the commission. Also submit the list containing names and addresses of their office bearers. Discussion on process of downloading of the electoral rolls from the official website of the commission would also be done during the meeting.

Subardhan expressed hope that the meeting would be attended by representatives of the political parties attend the meeting so that fruitful discussions on all important matters can be done. The poll for the urban local bodies is  expected to be held in March.
