Locals protest against Nagar Palika expansion in Almora

In protest against the expansion of the Nagar Palika, people of New Indira colony in Almora took out a procession in the city and protested. They said that they oppose this decision of the state government. If this decision is not withdrawn then the people will be forced to take a fierce movement.

On Wednesday, the people of New Indira colony took a procession in protest against the inclusion of the area in the municipality. Protesters said that it has been decided to include the complaint of the people of the village without getting into cognizance. This decision should be withdrawn soon. The villagers said that the already included places under the Nagar Palika are being mismanaged . In such a scenario, it is wrong to increase the area of the Municipality. During the procession, the villagers raised slogans against the administration and the government.
