Shahrukh arrested by police today

Uttarakhand Police, Special Task Force (STF) today has arrested a hardcore criminal Shahrukh Pathan from Delhi university metro station on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday. Taking cognizance on their effort State DGP Anil k Raturi announced Rs 20,000 cash reward to the team.

A 24-year-old criminal Pathan, a native of Muzaffarnagar, has a reward of Rs 50, 000 and Rs 10,000 announced by Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand police respectively on him. While addressing to the media ADGP (Law and Order) Ashok Kumar said that as a part of ongoing drive to nab criminals, STF SSP Riddhim Aggarwal had formed a team led by ASP Ajay Singh and team members were deployed  in various cities of UP and Delhi to arrest the criminal.

Acting on a tip- off, STF team comprising inspector RB Chamola, head constable PD Arora, constables Kailash Nyal, Anup Bhati, Virendra Chauhan and Mohan Aswal arrested Pathan from Delhi.

During investigation it has revealed that Pathan is a sharp shooter doing errands at the bidding of the dreaded gangster Mukhtar Ansari and Sanjeev Jeeva. Pathan had allegedly murdered a criminal Aasif Jayada, who was in police custody at Muzaffarnagar railway station in 2015, and his father Yasin Jayada too.

In this murder case, he was sent to Muzaffarnagar jail. From jail he had demanded Rs 10 lakh as protection money from a Muzaffarnagar-based businessman Ahmad Ali. Later he shifted to Hardoi jail but he had managed to escape from police custody at Muzaffarnagar. Thereafter he joined Jeeva gang and along with his friends, he had murdered one Amit Dikshit on March 6, 2017.

He had taken a contract to eliminate a Haridwar based property dealer Subhash Saini but he killed Amit Dikshit due to mistaken identity. Saini was having land dispute with Sanjeev Maheshwari alias Jeeva. Following on it, a case under Sections 302 and 120B was registered against Pathan in Haridwar police station.
