UKSSSC Cancels Graduate-Level Examination After Judicial Inquiry Report

The Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) has cancelled the graduate-level examination conducted on September 21, 2025, following the receipt of the Judicial Inquiry Commission’s report. The Commission announced that a re-examination will be held after three months.

Sharing the details, Commission Secretary Dr. Shiv Kumar Barnwal said that soon after the examination concluded on September 21 at around 1:30 pm, screenshots of certain questions went viral on social media. Upon receiving the information, the Commission immediately directed the SSP Dehradun to take necessary action. Following the preliminary investigation, a case was registered at Raipur Police Station, Dehradun, on September 22, 2025.

Acting on the directions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the state government constituted a one-member judicial commission on September 27, 2025, under the Commissions of Inquiry Act, 1952. The inquiry was headed by Hon’ble High Court Judge (Retd.) Justice U.C. Dhyani, who was tasked with investigating the matter.

Dr. Barnwal informed that the Commission received the interim investigation report from the Judicial Commission on Saturday. After a thorough study and discussion, the Commission concluded that maintaining confidentiality, purity, and transparency in competitive examinations is of utmost importance to preserve public confidence.

“In the larger interest of fairness and credibility, the Commission has decided to cancel the graduate-level examination held on September 21, 2025. A re-examination will be conducted after three months,” Dr. Barnwal said.

He added that the investigation into the case is still ongoing and that the Commission is committed to ensuring complete transparency and trust in future examinations.
