Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s wife Geeta Dhami has observed the Karwa Chauth fast with traditional devotion and enthusiasm at the Chief Minister’s residence on Friday. The Chief Minister couple performed the ceremonial puja, offering prayers to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati for the happiness, peace, health, and prosperity of all the people of Uttarakhand.
In the evening, Geeta Dhami, accompanied by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, concluded the fast after sighting the moon and performing the customary rituals.
On this occasion, CM Dhami extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of the state. He said that Karwa Chauth is a festival symbolizing the unwavering faith, love, sacrifice, and dedication of Indian women. “This festival strengthens the bonds of trust, love, and unity in family life. Women hold a paramount place in our culture, and festivals like Karwa Chauth keep alive the beautiful traditions of our cultural life,” he added.
The Chief Minister expressed hope that the festival would bring happiness, prosperity, and harmony to everyone’s lives.
