Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami hoisted the national flag at his residence on the occasion of the 79th Independence Day and administered the oath of national unity to those present. Extending warm wishes to the people of Uttarakhand, he paid tribute to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s independence and honour.
Remembering those who lost their lives in the recent disaster in Dharali and other affected areas of the state, CM Dhami expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. He assured that full arrangements for rehabilitation will be made in disaster-hit regions.
Highlighting India’s growing global stature, the Chief Minister credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for historic decisions and progress towards fulfilling the dreams of the nation’s martyrs. He noted that reconstruction and re-development work is being carried out at a rapid pace in Uttarakhand.
CM Dhami reiterated the state government’s resolve for the holistic development of Uttarakhand, stating that plans for the next 25 years are already in motion. “With the support of the people, we are working towards making Uttarakhand the best state in the country,” he said.
