Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the ambitious Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan from Guniyal village in Dehradun, aiming to empower farmers across Uttarakhand through scientific agricultural practices, technology, and awareness. During the launch event, the Chief Minister inspected various stalls and interacted directly with farmers, gaining insights into their experiences and challenges. He also received detailed information from agricultural scientists on advanced farming techniques and innovations.

The Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan, conceptualized under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is designed to promote climate-resilient agriculture. It focuses on connecting farmers with region-specific crop selection, soil testing, and agri-technological solutions suited to the nature of their land and changing environmental conditions.

This massive campaign will cover 95 development blocks, 670 Nyaya Panchayats, and 11,440 villages in the state. It aims to empower food producers through dialogue, training sessions, demonstrations, and on-ground awareness programs, equipping them to meet global agricultural challenges and adapt to evolving climatic patterns.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Dhami emphasized that this is not just another government scheme, but a determined stride toward the national mission of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India). He reiterated the state government’s commitment to farmer welfare, pointing out that a variety of schemes are being implemented that provide direct support and tangible benefits to the agricultural community.

The Chief Minister also underlined the importance of technology in agriculture, stating that bridging the gap between traditional knowledge and modern science is crucial for doubling farmers’ income and ensuring long-term sustainability.

The Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan represents a forward-thinking initiative to transform Uttarakhand’s agrarian landscape and empower farmers with the tools and knowledge they need for a prosperous future.
