St. Joseph’s Academy, Dehradun, held its prestigious Middle and Senior School Investiture Ceremony in their premise on Saturday. The event marked the formal induction of the newly appointed student council members into leadership roles. The distinguished alumnus and Chief Guest, Brigadier Harish Kumar Sethi, a decorated Indian Army officer of the 62 Cavalry graced the ceremony.

The ceremony began with a solemn prayer and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, setting a reverent tone. A graceful prayer dance followed, symbolizing peace and devotion. The auditorium, adorned with school and house flags, reflected the pride and traditions of the institution.

Brigadier Sethi, Principal Rev. Bro. Joseph M. Joseph, Community Leader Rev. Bro. Astinus Kujur, and senior members of the Alumni Association conferred badges on the council members. The oath of office was administered by Rev. Bro. Joseph M. Joseph for the Senior School and Rev. Bro. Cultural performances by the English Choir and the Torrins Band added vibrancy to the event, showcasing the artistic talents of the school’s students. In his address Brigadier Sethi urged the student leaders to value time and embody the virtues of courage, discipline, and commitment — ideals drawn from military life and essential to leadership.

A memento was presented to Brigadier Sethi in appreciation of his service and enduring bond with his alma mater. The Principal congratulated the newly elected council and reminded them of their responsibility to lead by example.

The ceremony concluded with the school song and a High Tea, celebrating a day of inspiration, pride, and unity at one of Dehradun’s most respected institutions.
