Govardhan Das, who served as a driver in the Department of Information and Public Relations, Uttarakhand, was given a warm farewell on his retirement today after attaining the age of superannuation. A ceremony was organized in the department to honor his dedicated service.
The Chief Guest of the event, Additional Director Ashish Kumar Tripathi, felicitated Das with a bouquet and a memento. In his address, Tripathi praised the unwavering dedication and honesty with which Das discharged his duties, calling his service an inspiration for others in the department.
Management Officer Rampal Singh Rawat and Photo Film Officer Shekhar Chandra Joshi also shared their thoughts, appreciating Das’s work ethic.
Newly elected President of the Information Employees Union, Kailash Rawat, read a letter of felicitation. Other union representatives including General Secretary Ankit Kumar, Vice President Sanjay Kumar, and others presented a memento on behalf of the Union.
The farewell was attended by Chief Administrative Officer Manoj Kumar Shukla, Ranjit Singh Budiyal, Jagdish Patwal, former General Secretary Suresh Chandra Bhatt, and all departmental staff. The program was conducted by Administrative Officer Vijay Kumar.
