Uttar Pradesh is also witnessing a gradual uptick in cases. Active COVID-19 cases in the state have risen from 15 on May 26 to 25 now. Ghaziabad is currently the most affected district, reporting 14 cases. Of these, 13 patients are in home isolation while one has been hospitalized. In Rajasthan, the virus has resurfaced with 7 new cases reported in recent days. Several of these infections are from Jodhpur, including a newborn baby. The state health department has been instructed to intensify testing and surveillance to identify and isolate new cases early.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the total number of active cases in India has increased from 1,010 on May 26 to 1,047. The ministry has advised all states to ensure the availability of RT-PCR testing, maintain home isolation protocols, and keep isolation centers ready. While the current case numbers remain manageable, authorities are taking proactive steps to prevent another wave. Citizens are urged to follow COVID-appropriate behavior and report symptoms early to help health officials contain further spread.
