The Uttarakhand Board of School Education, Ramnagar, declared the much-awaited results of the High School and Intermediate Examinations 2025 today, along with the results of the 2024 Improvement and Absentee Examinations. The results brought good news for thousands of students, with girls once again outperforming boys across both levels.
In the High School Examination 2025, a total of 1,13,238 students had registered, out of which 1,09,859 appeared and 99,725 students successfully passed. The overall pass percentage stood at an impressive 90.77%, marking a 1.63% increase from last year. Girls outshone boys with a pass percentage of 93.25%, while boys secured 88.20%. Among regular candidates, the pass percentage was 91.23%, whereas individual candidates recorded 59.37%.
State toppers included Kamal Singh Chauhan of HGS SVM IC Kusumkheda, Haldwani, securing 496 out of 500 (99.20%), and Kanakalta of New Tehri, who topped among girls with 495 marks (99%). Diviyam from Uttarkashi and Deepa Joshi from Nanakmatta jointly secured third with 494 marks (98.80%).
Chamoli district led the results with a remarkable 96.97% pass rate.
In the Intermediate Examination 2025, 1,08,980 students registered, 1,06,345 appeared, and 88,518 passed, registering an overall pass percentage of 83.23%, with girls again ahead at 86.20% compared to 80.10% for boys. The pass percentage for regular candidates stood at 84.03%, while individual candidates achieved 58.25%.
Anushka Rana from Government Inter College, Barasi, Dehradun, emerged as the state topper with 493/500 (98.60%). Keshav Bhatt of Dehradun and Komal Kumari of Uttarkashi secured the second position jointly with 489 marks (97.80%), while Ayush Singh Rawat from Rishikesh came third with 484 marks (96.80%).
Pithoragarh district topped the Intermediate results with a 91.90% pass rate, and the result recorded a 0.60% improvement over the previous year.
In the Improvement and Absentee Examinations 2024, 268 out of 436 candidates passed in High School, with a pass percentage of 61.46%, and 360 out of 715 in Intermediate, with 50.35%.
These results reflect a steady improvement in the state’s education standards and reaffirm the consistent academic excellence of girls in Uttarakhand.
