Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited Coronation Hospital on Monday to assess the condition of patients affected by food poisoning in Dehradun district. More than 100 people fell ill due to adulterated buckwheat flour (Kuttu Ka Atta) supplied from Saharanpur.

The Chief Minister interacted with patients at Coronation Hospital, wishing them a speedy recovery. He instructed Dehradun District Magistrate Savin Bansal and Health Department officials to ensure proper medical care for all affected individuals. He also directed them to increase the number of hospital beds if required. Currently, 66 patients are admitted at Coronation Hospital, while 44 are receiving treatment at Doon Medical College.

To contain the spread of contamination, the Chief Minister confirmed that the shop receiving the adulterated flour from Saharanpur has been sealed. Additionally, other shops that sourced flour from this supplier have been alerted. The Dehradun district administration has also informed the Saharanpur administration about the issue.

The CM assured that full medical facilities are in place for the affected patients. He instructed the Health Secretary to investigate the matter thoroughly and take strict action against those responsible. He further emphasized that the Health Department, Food Safety Department, and other relevant agencies will jointly investigate to prevent future incidents. Action will be taken against anyone found negligent.

Accompanying the CM during his visit were Commissioner Garhwal Vinay Shankar Pandey, District Magistrate Savin Bansal, SSP Dehradun Ajay Singh, and officials from the Health Department and District Administration. Authorities continue to monitor the situation and take necessary measures to safeguard public health.
