Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised Uttarakhand for successfully hosting the 38th National Games in Mann ki baat programme on Sunday. The Prime Minister had inaugurated the games on January 28 in Dehradun and had expressed confidence in the state’s ability to organize the event successfully.
In the 119th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on All India Radio, PM Modi highlighted the exceptional performance of over 11,000 athletes from across the country. He emphasized that Uttarakhand is emerging as a strong sporting force, securing the 7th position in the overall medal tally.
The Prime Minister congratulated the Services team for winning the highest number of gold medals and extended appreciation to all participants. He emphasized the transformative power of sports, which fosters cultural excellence and inspires future generations.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed gratitude on behalf of the state, acknowledging PM Modi’s special attachment to Devbhoomi. He reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to making Uttarakhand a sports hub and uplifting athletes through various schemes under the leadership of the central government.
