Dehradun: Uttarakhand Finance Minister Dr. Premchand Agarwal has expressed regret over a statement made in the Vidhan Sabha, clarifying that his words were misinterpreted and presented in a distorted manner. Emphasizing unity, he stated that all residents of Uttarakhand are his family, and he harbors no hesitation in apologizing if his remarks unintentionally hurt sentiments.
Dr. Agarwal reiterated that Uttarakhand is a vibrant bouquet of diverse cultures, with people from across the country contributing to its beauty. He affirmed that his intent was to highlight the inclusive spirit of the state.
Acknowledging the possibility of hurt feelings, he stated, “It is not in my nature to hurt anyone. If my words have caused pain, I sincerely regret it.” He urged for continued harmony, emphasizing that familial love and respect should remain intact.
