Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami jointly inaugurated the newly constructed and beautified Government Primary School Thangar in the Yamkeshwar development block. They also inaugurated the first and second phase of the Gram Panchur Barat Ghar construction project, completed at a cost of ₹9.80 lakhs.
During their visit, the leaders interacted with schoolchildren, inspected the schools, and released the annual booklet of IGL (India Glycols Limited), which has played a significant role in upgrading educational facilities. CM Yogi, who studied at Government Primary School Thangar up to 5th grade, shared fond memories of his childhood and expressed joy over the school’s transformation with modern facilities like smart classrooms, state-of-the-art labs, virtual classes, and upgraded washrooms.
In his address, Yogi Adityanath praised the Uttarakhand government under CM Dhami for implementing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision effectively. He highlighted the importance of technology and public-private partnerships in bringing transformative changes to the education sector. He acknowledged the contributions of both the government and private institutions, emphasizing that the collective effort of society is essential for nation-building.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami extended a warm welcome to Yogi Adityanath, noting the immense respect and affection Uttarakhand has for him as a son of Devbhoomi. He credited Yogi Adityanath’s efforts for the addition of modern facilities in schools, including virtual classrooms, libraries, and modern labs.
Both leaders emphasized the importance of quality education, cultural activities, and sports in shaping children’s futures and urged teachers to utilize resources effectively. The event underscored the collaborative efforts of the government and society in transforming Uttarakhand’s education landscape.
