In a significant development, Uttarakhand has successfully completed all formalities pertaining to the allotment of land for the construction of ‘Uttarakhand Bhavan’ (State Guest House) in Ayodhya, marking a historic milestone. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed elation as the government secured the registration of the allotted plot, making Uttarakhand the first state to initiate the construction process for a state guest house in the sacred city of Ayodhya.
According to Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman, “the registered plot, located merely 7 kilometers from the revered Ram Mandir, holds strategic significance in facilitating accommodation facilities for devotees visiting Ayodhya to seek the blessings of Ramlala. The announcement of constructing the state guest house came as a fulfillment of CM Dhami’s promise to provide proper lodging arrangements for devotees from Uttarakhand visiting Ayodhya”.
Following the momentous occasion of the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, CM Dhami swiftly acted upon his commitment and allocated Rs 32 crore for the acquisition of land. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended his support by approving the allocation of a 5253.30 square meter plot for the construction of ‘Uttarakhand Bhavan.’ Subsequently, the Dhami government completed all necessary formalities and successfully registered the plot in the name of the Uttarakhand government.
With the registration of the plot, CM Dhami has directed the commencement of preparations for the Detailed Project Report (DPR) of ‘Uttarakhand Bhavan,’ signifying the government’s dedication to expeditiously execute the construction project. The upcoming ‘Uttarakhand Bhavan’ holds promise as a symbol of the state’s cultural and spiritual heritage, further strengthening the bond between Uttarakhand and Ayodhya.
