Uttarakhand announces no VIP darshan for first 15 days of Chardham yatra

In a bid to prioritize the convenience of devotees embarking on the sacred Chardham Yatra, Uttarakhand has declared that there will be no VIP darshan during the initial 15 days of the pilgrimage, commencing from May 10. This significant decision aims to ensure equal access to the divine shrines for all devotees, fostering a spirit of inclusivity and reverence.

Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand, in line with this directive, has dispatched letters to the Chief Secretaries of all states, urging them to adhere to this protocol. The move seeks to streamline the darshan process and alleviate any potential overcrowding or delays, particularly during the early days of the Yatra.

The decision underscores the state government’s commitment to fostering a seamless and enriching pilgrimage experience for devotees, emphasizing the sacred significance of the Chardham Yatra. By eschewing VIP privileges for the initial phase of the Yatra, Uttarakhand aims to promote fairness and accessibility, ensuring that devotees from all walks of life can partake in this auspicious journey with equal reverence and devotion.

As preparations for the Chardham Yatra gather momentum, Uttarakhand’s proactive measures reflect its dedication to upholding the sanctity of this revered pilgrimage and catering to the spiritual aspirations of countless devotees.
