The Enforcement Directorate (ED) launched a series of raids across multiple locations in Ranchi on Monday. During the raid they have recovered substantial amount of ‘unaccounted’ cash. The operation targeted individuals closely associated with Jharkhand’s rural development minister and Congress MLA, Alamgir Alam.
Video footage from the scene revealed stacks of currency notes strewn across a room, reportedly found within the residence of a domestic aide allegedly connected to the private secretary of Minister Alam. The cash recovery raised eyebrows and drew attention to possible financial irregularities.
Talking to media, Minister Alam said, “I have no official information regarding this so far.” He clarified that his knowledge of the situation stemmed from media reports indicating that the raided premises were linked to his government-appointed private secretary.
The raids and subsequent cash recovery have sparked speculation and concern about potential financial impropriety and corruption within the corridors of power. Further investigation by the Enforcement Directorate is expected to shed light on the origins and purpose of the recovered funds, as well as any connections to government officials.
As the situation unfolds, questions linger about the extent of accountability and transparency within the administration, prompting calls for swift and thorough action to address any wrongdoing and restore public trust in governance.
