CM Dhami participated in 43rd NMOCON-2024’ at AIIMS Rishikesh

Uttarakhand’s Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the inaugural program of the 43rd two-day national convention of the National Medicos Organization ‘NMOCON-2024’ at AIIMS Rishikesh on Saturday.

CM Dhami, while welcoming the doctors & students who came to the convention in Uttarakhand, said that this organization which considers Swami Vivekananda as its ideal, is continuously providing its health services in the country in the spirit of ‘Nar Seva Narayan Seva’. It is a commendable effort by doctors & students at different places in the country to reflect on various health related topics. Thus, by adopting the principle of “From Health service to Nation’s service” & “Health service is service to the nation”, the organization is working in the spirit of Antyodaya.

CM Dhami said that under the efficient leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, historic work has been done in the field of health in India in the last 10 years. At the same time, continuous improvement is going on in various areas of health, these include affordable treatments & medicines, modern health facilities at rural level, development of human resources & use of technology to increase access to health services, etc. He said that the Central & State Governments are working with the thinking of Antyodaya in health care. More than 200 new medical colleges have been constructed in the country in the last 10 years. At present, health services are being provided to the people in more than 22 AIIMS. Also, there has been more awareness in the country regarding Yoga & AYUSH. Attraction towards yoga has increased in the world.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ & ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’ have helped in prevention of many diseases. ‘Poshan Abhiyaan’ has proved helpful in controlling malnutrition in the country. The national tele-medicine service- ‘e-Sanjeevani’ has used information & communication technology to enable diagnosis, treatment & management of patients located in remote areas. With their use, even a person living in a remote village can get initial consultation from doctors living in cities. ‘Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission’ has been launched to strengthen the health sector infrastructure. Which will prove to be a milestone in further strengthening health services.

CM Dhami said that in the field of health, works are being successfully executed with mutual coordination between the Central & State Governments to provide facilities to the beneficiaries. ‘Atal Ayushman Yojana’ is proving effective in providing free health care to everyone in the state, as well as providing cashless treatment. Till now, more than 55 lakh people have been registered as Ayushman card holders. With the help of ‘Atal Ayushman Yojana’ & Ayushman Card, more than 5 lakh patients have got their treatment done on time. The state government is running many schemes for the safety of mother & child. This scheme is being operated under ‘Janani Suraksha Yojana’ for pregnant women to reduce maternal & child mortality. Free vaccination of children is being done under ‘Indradhanush’ scheme. Health & Wellness Centers are being operated for free testing & screening of common people for diabetes, anaemia, breast cancer & oral cancer.

CM Dhami said that ‘Jan Arogya Abhiyan’ is being organized to provide health benefits to the common people in their areas through Health & Wellness Centres. The objective of National Tuberculosis Eradication is to make tuberculosis patients free from the disease, for which a target of 2025 has been set to make India tuberculosis-free. Whereas, work is being done on the ground by the state government to achieve this target by the year 2024. He said that during the Corona epidemic, India led the entire world under the leadership of PM Modi ji. During the Corona period, free vaccine was given in India as well as abroad. The person standing at the last end is getting benefit of every campaign started by PM Modi ji. He said that the state government is continuously working on the basis of “resolution without option” to achieve the target given by PM Modi ji. With everyone’s cooperation, we will be successful in building a healthy, prosperous, strong & self-reliant Uttarakhand.

On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Premchandra Aggarwal, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, Director AIIMS Prof. Meenu Singh, RSS Sah Sarkaryavah Dr. Krishna Gopal, Parmarth Niketan Supreme President Swami Chidanand Muni and others were present.
