A meeting of the State Law Commission under the chairmanship of Justice Rajesh Tandon (retd) was held in the meeting hall of Vidhan Sabha on Thursday.

 The departmental officers present in the meeting presented their views and suggestions. Shiv Shankar Mishra, Under Secretary, Medical Education (Uttarakhand ) informed that Uttar Pradesh Bharatiya Chiktsa Sanstha Act- 1982 relate to Ayurvedic and Unani systems of medicine and is enforced in Uttarakhand. He said that if any other act related with the Adhiniyam is enforced in the state then the Commission should be informed about it by October 16.

 The Uttar Pradesh Adhiktam Seema Adhiniyam 1972 has expired with time and there is need for it in Uttarakhand.

Regarding Dudhi, Robertganj, (District Mirzapur) Krishak Rin Adhiniyam 1951,DK Singh,Deputy Director,Agriculture ( Uttarakhand ) participated in the meeting. He informed that the Adhiniyam was meant for MIrzapur and there was no need for it in Uttarakhand and should be repealed.

The recommendation about United Provinces Gorakhpur Adhiniyam,1991 will be studied and would be presented in the next meeting of the commission. The Uttar Pradesh Sarkari Asthan Thekedari Nivash Adhiniyam,1958 will also be studied and will be presented in the next meeting.

The ayush department has been served notice for  Uttar Pradesh Homeopathic Chiktsa Mahavidyala ( Praband Grahan) Adhiniyam 1979 for meeting on October 23.

B.S. Negi has been directed to seek a report from District Magistrate on Uttar Pradesh Bhoomi Vikas Kar ( Nirsan) Adhiniyam,1972 and present it in the next meeting.

Krishan Singh informed that Uttar Pradesh Sthaniya Nikay ( Appointment of administrators) is an Uttar Pradesh Act of 1982 and need to be repealed. The act regarding the merger of the merged states 1950 will also be brought in the next meeting.

Subhash Chander, Additional secretary,Forest department informed that  Uttar Pradesh Tendu Patta ( Vyapar Viniyam) Adhiniyam, 1972 relate to Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh and has no relevance in Uttarakhand.

Additional Secretary Forest and Environment Subhash Chander, IG,Police Deepam Seth, Additional secretary Cooperatives Dhirendra Singh Datal, Deputy Revenue Commissioner ( Principal Secretary) BS Negi, Under Secretary Shiv Shankar Mishra, Under Secretary Anil Kumar Pandey and Law state legislative NK Pant were present in the meeting
