CM Rawat reviews preparations for Investors Summit

Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat reviewed the preparations for the Investor Summit to be held at Maharana Pratap Sports Stadium on Tuesday. Chief Minister instructed the officers to complete all preparations of Investor Summit on time. He said that all arrangements for providing cooperation and facilities to the investors and entrepreneurs participating in the Summit should be ensured. In an informal interaction with the media, Chief Minister said that so far 1700 investors have registered for Investors Summit. With the coming of large investors and entrepreneurs in the state, small local industries and entrepreneurs will also benefit in the form of forward and backward linkages. Under the upcoming Investors Summit, along with the big investors, the local entrepreneurs have shown interest in expanding their industries. Besides investing in the hilly areas, there is a good interest for investors to invest in the plains as well. So far, MoU of about Rs 61,000 crore has been signed. Chief Minister said that investors from the country and world have shown great interest. “We want more and more investment should come in the state. We are moving forward in this direction firmly. State Government has recently announced policies for various focus areas, so that maximum investment comes in the state and it also open opportunities for long term employment for local youth”, said Chief Minister.
