Where World Bank to invest Rs 120 crore in UK?

Quality medical services will be available in the hilly areas of the state. In this regard state government has prepared the blueprint. The work will be done through the Uttarakhand Health Systems Development Project. Rs. 120 crores have been approved for this project of World Bank. Project Governing Body meeting led by chief secretary Utpal Kumar singh was held in the Secretariat on Wednesday. Chief Secretary instructed that such effective arrangements should be made that the patients should not have to go far away for treatment. In particular, all the facilities for examination and treatment should be provided in the district hospitals in remote hill areas. Regular monitoring and evaluation of the project is also needed.

Secretary Health Nitesh Kumar Jha said that this first of its kind project is being implemented in the country. It will prove to be a game changer in the field of health services. After making Almora Hospital an e-Hospital, all hospitals are being made online. Soon e-slip system will be implemented in government hospitals. Surveys are being done to create an e-health record for the entire state. Regarding the Uttarakhand Health Systems Development Project, the Secretary said that work has been started in cluster mode for improvement in the system. Tehri district has been selected as the first cluster. Under the project, new initiatives will be implemented in collaboration with private sector. It includes new initiatives in integrated health care and health care financing. Apart from this, important work will also be done to improve the medical system. He said that the private sector cooperation will be taken on the basis of performance. The number of patients will be checked in hospitals The assessment will be done according to the standards of the National Accreditation Board for Hospital. Patients satisfaction will also be checked. In the event of an emergency, the hospital’s preparation will be observed. The project will also be linked to Ayushman Bharat.

Additional Chief Secretary  Radha Raturi, Additional Secretary Ranjit Sinha, Project Director Yugal Kishore Pant and other officers were present in the meeting.
