CM Rawat reaches Singapore to participate in ‘Invest North Summit’

A delegation of Uttarakhand led by Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat reached Singapore to meet various investors and participate in the “Invest North Summit 2018” organized by the Indian High Commission. The “Invest North Summit 2018” is being organized on September 4 in collaboration with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat started his tour with a visit to historic Perumal temple. He also visited Indian Heritage Centre and Institute of Technical Education. He also held discussions with non-resident Indians and Hindu Endowment Board on promoting religious tourism in Uttarakhand.

Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat also held a meeting with Singapore Foreign Affairs Minister Mr. Vivian Balakrishnan. He also held discussions with various organizations on the possibilities of development of Uttarakhand. These organizations include Surbana Jurong Pvt Ltd, The Golden State Capital Pvt Ltd, Ascendas Singbridge, Meinhardt and Asia Competitiveness Institute.

The Uttarakhand government invited the investors to participate in the ‘Uttarakhand Investors Summit 2018’ scheduled to be held in Dehradun on October 7 and 8, 2018.

The “Invest North Summit 2018” being held in Singapore will explore the possibilities of investment in Uttarakhand, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. The abundant natural resources, trained manpower, investment and policy system coupled with fast developing basic infrastructure provides immense investment opportunities in electronics, pharmaceuticals, financial services, tourism, health, education, basic infrastructure, energy and automobiles in north India.

After six successful summits, “Invest North Summit 2018” has proven to be a good platform to explore the possibilities of investment in north India. The main objective to organize the “Invest North summit 2018” in Singapore is to get associated with the foreign investment communities of Singapore. The state Chief Ministers, industrialists and senior officials from India will address the “Invest North Summit 2018.”
