Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has congratulated Dr. Sona Kaushal Gupta on getting selected for Dr BC Roy Award.
Dr BC Roy Award is a prestigious award of the country, which is being conferred by the Medical Council of India. In wake of the important contributions of Dr. Sona to make the youth aware about the drugs, she has been selected for the prestigious this year.
While congratulating Dr Gupta on getting selected for Dr. B.C.Roy Award, Chief Minister said that it is matter of proud for Uttarakhand. Social service being done by Dr Sona is really praiseworthy. He further said that especially, the efforts made by Dr. Sona to eradicate drug abuse among the youth are highly commendable. Significantly, the Award is highly prestigious award of country, which is being conferred by the Medical Council of India.
Neuro-psychologist Dr. Sona is presently employed in Government Doon Medical College. In her study, she found that psychiatric problems are increasing among youth due to drug addiction. She is constantly making efforts to end the problem of drug addiction among the youth. Given her vital contribution in making youth aware about drug addiction, she has been selected for this year’s prestigious Dr. B.C. Roy Award.
