Ex-MLA Ganesh Godiyal on Thursday alleged that the BJP has been trying to harass him by sending him notices for tax evasion. He has established himself as successful businessmen and filing return for the last three decades.
Addressing a press conference at State congress head office in Dehradun, Godiyal asserted that he was being specifically targeted as he had been opposing the BJP tooth and nail. He said that he had been filing income tax returns for the past three decades and had never evaded tax. During press conference state PCC president Preetam Singh was present there.
He alleged that he was being targeted by the Central government through the Income Tax Department. “I was the one who had opposed the Union Government’s motive to dismiss the democratically elected Congress government in Uttarkhand in 2016. I had opposed Modi’s much hyped laser show which was supposed to show during laser show at kedarnath,” he pointed out.
