Income tax department has also become active on the Rs 300-crore NH-74 scam in Uttarakhand. Income tax will also check it at its own level. It is believed that there can be many more disclosures along with income tax investigation. Income Tax has asked the State Police to share the scam related information as soon as possible. Uttarakhand’s chief income tax commissioner Pramod Kumar Gupta said that income tax will be examined by the court separately at its own level. Currently, the government is investigating it by forming a SIT, while the ED has also filed a lawsuit in this case. According to the chief income tax commissioner, in this whole case, tax evasion was done on a large scale, as well as the government budget was converted into black money. He said that this matter was also kept in the Revenue Intelligence Council meeting. On behalf of the police, SP Vigilance was involved in this meeting, he has been asked to share the information related to the scam.
Chief Commissioner Income Tax Commissioner PK Gupta expressed surprise at the delay in sharing information about the NH scam. He said that the Revenue Intelligence Council has been formed at the state level, but information was not shared in the Council on behalf of the police. He told that after getting the information from the police, income tax will be started separately and it will start investigating.
