Following on the appeal of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to double the farmers income by 2022, Uttarakhand government is going to launch Agriculture loan upto Rs one lakh @ two percent interest to their farmers by November 9. This was disclosed by the State Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat here in vidhan sabha today.
In which farmers would be disbursed loan upto Rs one lakh @ two percent interest. The farmers can use it for value addition of their produce, for the purchase of domestic animal by which they can increase their source of income. As we know that Prime Minister Narendra Modi dreams is to double the farmers’ income by 2022 and this loan would be help them.
He said that we are not only giving the loan to the farmers for the sake of disbursement of loan but we are also giving assurance that if you do farming then state would help them in marketing of their produce. If they bought domestic animal then government would ensure procurement of their milk through cooperative. With this they would be able to repay the loan to the cooperative.
Dr Rawat said that to implement the Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat he had called public sector banks but they refused to be part of it but state cooperative bank has readily agreed to disburse the loan among the farmers @ two percent upto Rs one lakh. Farmers can repay the loan in next three years. Although bank would not charge compound interest upto one year. As per the estimate if a farmer takes loan of Rs one lakh then he/she will have to pay Rs 2700 per EMI (Easy Monthly Installment) for next three year.
He further said that they are also trying to form several new federation including journalist. in which journalist can get loan to buy new camera or other gadgets whichever required for their profession.
State Cooperative Committees
State Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat said that 96 out 97 cooperative committees, which were functional in the state, were formed without following the norms. They had occupied these posts for political reason which is why government has decided to terminate them. He assured that their government would promote the committees, whosoever are working for the welfare of the society. During investigation it has found that 12 out of 14 federations directors’ appointment are illegal. As per the guideline if there is less number of elected director then government can appoint receiver or five member committee to monitor the day to day functioning of the committee.
