DAINIK NATION BUREAU

DP Singh, allegedly an accused in multi crore NH-74 scam, special leave petition has been rejected by the Supreme Court today. A senior police officer said that we were confident that he would not get relief from anywhere unless and until he surrenders. Although we are yet to receive the order copy and once it receives then we would examine it.

He had filed the petition for seeking exemption from arrest in multi-crore NH-74 land acquisition scam in Udham Singh Nagar district. As we know that police were conducting raid to arrest him but he had gone underground. Ironically, the State High Court had on October 28 vacated its stay order granting him exemption from police arrest. Subsequently, Singh had moved Supreme Court and filed a special leave petition to evade police arrest.

We were sure that the accused will not get any relief from court unless and until he surrenders in the court or appear before the police.
