Govt revised Ex-Army doctor’s package by 80%

In a bid to lure the Ex-Army doctors  Uttarakhand government has revised their package by 40-80 percent. They have also been promised that they would be given free accommodation depends upon availability. With this decision around 300 Ex-Army doctor readily join the hospitals and state would get their service. This will solve the doctors’ crunch issue in the state. This was confirmed by the additional chief secretary Omprakash. Besides it, our recruitment process is also in progress so many more doctors to join us in near future. For this we have given advertisement in south Indian states.

He further said since inception of Trivendra Singh Rawat led Uttarakhand government, CM is giving emphasis to send doctors in hospitals especially in hills. With this decision we would be able to cope up with the situation. Now super specialist doctor would get Rs 1.85 lakh per month, specialist would get Rs 1.75 lakh per month and MBBS/Diploma holder would get Rs 1.50 lakh per month.

Earlier state government had offered Rs 1.35- Rs 1.50 lakh for super specialist like neuro surgeon; Rs 90000 for specialists and Rs 80000 for the MBBS/ Diploma holder. He said that around 300 doctors had expressed their inclination to join the state hospitals but they did not find pack package lucrative so government has revised it.

Why Ex-Army Doctor

As we know that they are having experience to work in tough geographical condition. They don’t have liability of their kids. In civil doctors are young so they have family life and have to nurture their kids. Ex-servicemen are accustomed to stay away from their family and they have adult kids who does not need schooling but they need money for higher education.
