Dehradun Youth Football League enthralls parents and participants alike

Football fever has once again gripped the city with a one-of-its kind structured league galvanizing the youth footballers to come out on the field and showcase their skills. 175 budding footballers reported for their matches at the venue – Raja Rammohan Roy Academy, Clement Town, Dehradun.
Dehradun Youth Football League featuring 21 teams across 4 different age groups – U10, U12, U14 and U17 is being organised by Bhaichung Bhutia Football Schools with an aim of popularizing the beautiful game and simultaneously identifying the most talented players – who will be offered training scholarships.
BBFS coaches will also scout for the most talented players who will get an opportunity to represent the academy in U-13, U-15 & U-18 I-League competitions organized by All India Football Federation.
Team Warriors moved to the top of the U17 table with a thumping victory over Team Spartans. Rishi Upadhyay scored a hat trick while Sagar Chettri completed a brace. Vivek Bartwal and Mayank Semwal added one a piece to the score sheet.
FC Marcians lost their top spot as they stumbled to a surprise defeat against Titans. Abhay Rawat scored the winner.
The U14 table saw another shook up as Invincibles had a hung match against Flame Kickers. Arnav Malasi scored for the former while Vishal Rawat equalized for the latter.
Ball Blasters blasted their way to the top with a convincing victory over Phoenix. Ayush Baluni and Aditya Chauhan scored a brace each while Kunal Negi added one to the tally.
