The examinations of Uttarakhand board started on Friday with general Hindi examination of class XII. The examination of the Uttarakhand Vidhyalayi Shiksha Parishad (UVSP)- the Uttarakhand Board- was organized at 1319 centres across the state.
The Secretary of the USVP, Manoj Simalti told that the examination started on a good note as not even a single case of any malpractice was reported in the state. He said that the three state level, four Division level and three district level flying squads are constituted for these examinations.
The students were elated to get a relatively easy question paper on the day one. Akash Kashyap, a commerce stream student of Guru Nanak boys Inter College said that he was very nervous till entering the examination hall but a very good question paper released all the stress. He said that the question paper was perfect and covered all parts of the syllabus. His classmate Vishal Thakur echoed identical sentiments. He said that all the students are now hoping that a similar pattern is observed in remaining question papers also.
In Dehradun the board has set up 129 examination centers for the students enrolled in the examination out of which eight examination centres are marked sensitive. There is no ultra sensitive examination centre in the district. In the Dehradun 27932 students are enrolled in the class X and XII examination of Uttarakhand board.
In Uttarakhand, 250 centres out of 1319 examination centres are marked as sensitive while 24 centres are ultra sensitive in nature. The UVSP data reveals that 153813 students are enrolled in class X examinations while 133417 students are slated to sit in class XII examination this year.
In class X, a total of 148230 regular students are enrolled for the board examination while the number of Private students is 5583. In class XII, the number of regular and private students is 125087 and 8330 respectively. The board has set up 35 collection centres where the answer sheets of the students would be collected after the examination.
