Phase 3 of Lok Sabha polls 2024 to witness key contests across 12 States and UTs

With the Lok Sabha elections 2024 in full swing, Phase 3 is scheduled to happen on May 7. In which polling will happen for 93 seats spread across 12 states and Union Territories. This phase of voting is poised to witness some crucial contests, with prominent candidates from various political parties are at stake.

In this phase, several states will play a pivotal role in shaping the political landscape of the country. Notably, 2 seats in Goa, 26 seats in Gujarat, 7 seats in Chhattisgarh, and 14 seats in Karnataka are among the constituencies up for grabs. It’s worth mentioning that Karnataka had already commenced its electoral process in the second phase on April 26, with 14 seats going to the polls. Additionally, voting will also take place for two Lok Sabha seats in Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu.

Moreover, the electoral battleground will witness action in 4 seats in Assam, 5 seats in Bihar, 8 seats in Madhya Pradesh, 11 seats in Maharashtra, 10 seats in Uttar Pradesh, and 4 seats in West Bengal. This phase of the elections will witness the culmination of electoral battles in these regions, with candidates from various political parties competing for victory.

Among the notable candidates whose electoral fortunes will be decided in Phase 3 are Amit Shah contesting from Gandhinagar, Shivraj Singh Chouhan from Vidisha, Jyotiraditya Scindia from Guna, Pralhad Joshi from Dharwad, Basavaraj Bommai from Haveri, and Badruddin Ajmal from Dhubri.

As voters gear up to cast their ballots in Phase 3, all eyes will be on the outcome of these crucial contests, which will have a significant impact on the political landscape of the country.
