Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has once again demonstrated his growing stature in national politics with his impactful role in the Delhi Assembly elections. Acting as a BJP star campaigner CM Dhami’s efforts proved instrumental in securing victory for 18 out of the 23 candidates he supported. Notably, he played a pivotal role in the defeat of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal in the New Delhi constituency, where BJP candidate Pravesh Sahib Singh Verma emerged victorious.
Known for his energetic campaigning, CM Dhami addressed 52 election meetings and roadshows, drawing massive crowds and boosting the party’s presence. His campaigning was crucial for BJP candidates such as Neeraj Basaya (Kasturba Nagar), Harish Khurana (Moti Nagar), Rekha Gupta (Shalimar Bagh), Anil Sharma (RK Puram), Shikha Rai (Greater Kailash), and Kapil Mishra (Karawal Nagar), among others.
This performance further solidifies Dhami’s position as a rising star in BJP’s national leadership. Beyond his campaign success, his administrative achievements in Uttarakhand have also garnered nationwide attention. Under his leadership, Uttarakhand became the first state to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), alongside strict anti-copying, anti-riot, and anti-conversion laws. These decisions have been praised for ensuring transparency, youth welfare, and law and order.
CM Dhami’s proactive leadership in Uttarakhand and his significant contributions to the BJP’s electoral successes have made him a key figure in Indian politics. His growing influence reflects his ability to blend administrative acumen with grassroots connectivity, marking him as a leader with a national appeal.
