Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inspected preparations for the 38th National Games at Gaulapar Sports Stadium in Haldwani on Wednesday. During his visit, he interacted with players and observed a thrilling football semi-final match between Uttarakhand and Delhi, boosting the morale of the athletes.
The Chief Minister conducted a review meeting to oversee preparations for the grand closing ceremony scheduled for February 14. Stressing the importance of the event, he called it a historic occasion for Uttarakhand and directed officials to ensure all arrangements are flawless. “This program should leave a lasting impression in the hearts of people. It must be a grand celebration with active public participation,” he said.
Highlighting the significance of the National Games, CM Dhami emphasized that the event will serve as a milestone for future generations and enhance Uttarakhand’s reputation as a hub for sports. He also instructed officials to prioritize security, spectator amenities, and logistical arrangements to provide a seamless experience for all attendees.
The Chief Minister suggested inviting prominent personalities from various fields, including literature, media, social work, and intellectual circles, to add prestige to the event. He assured that the state government is committed to offering a positive experience to all players and visitors, reflecting the spirit of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand.
Director of Sports Prashant Kumar Arya detailed the arrangements made by the Sports Department for the closing ceremony, while various officials, including Minister of State Dr. Anil Kumar Dabbu, MLAs, and administrative officers, attended the meeting.
The 38th National Games have been a moment of pride for Uttarakhand, and with meticulous preparations for the grand finale, the state aims to leave a memorable mark on players, spectators, and citizens alike.
