Six dead out of Eight people buried in landslide debris in Kot village of Tehri district on Wednesday. Governor and CM have expressed grief and asked administration to provide all necessary
help to the victims family.
As per the State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC), landslide debris buried one residential building in Kotgaon village about three kilometres from Budha Kedar in Tehri district.
Three families were residing at the site of the disaster. Six persons died, one was missing and one girl was injured due to the landslide.
The rescue and relief teams reached late due to road blockade.
Besides it, four rural roads and one state road are blocked in Tehri district.
Several other roads of other districts road were also blocked. In Dehradun district 25 rural roads are blocked while in Pithoragarh district 13 roads are blocked.
In the Uttarkashi district, the national highways to Gangotri and Yamunotri are open while two rural motor roads are blocked.
In the Chamoli district, the national highway to Badrinath is open though 34 rural motor roads are blocked.
In Rudraprayag district, the Rishikesh-Kedarnath national highway number 107 is blocked by debris at Doliya Devi apart from which 13 rural motor roads are also blocked.
In Pauri district, the Pauri-Kotdwar national highway has been reopened though 62 rural roads and one state road are blocked.
Five motor roads are blocked in Haridwar district while three rural roads are blocked in Almora district, eight in Nainital district, three in Bagehswar district and 11 in Champawat district.
