Kaushik enquires about ULTA

A delegation led by Uttarakhand Urban Development Minister Madan Kaushik took information about Personal Rapid Transit (PRD) operated from Heathrow airport at London. This is an electric car which runs on specified guide ways. It was informed that the automatic pod is fully computerized.

The experts informed that the pressure of traffic could be minimized through ULTA (Urban Light Transit). There is not much land required for construction of guide way.  With the introduction of Pod car, every year 200 tonne of carbon dioxide is saved at Heathrow airport which has zero omission. The guide way and stations are built at low cost. The travelers have not to wait for the passenger vehicle but the vehicle wait for the passengers and are always available on demand. The destination can be chosen and there is top level security.

Apart from this, Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh met investors for the proposed “Investors Summit” to be held in Dehradun on October 7 and 8this year.  Specially, businessmen interested in investing in the field of wellness tourism and horticulture were invited for the “Investors Summit”.
