Mercury surges to 35 degree in UK

The mercury surged up to over 35 degree Celsius, about three degree above the normal, in Dehradun with the weather officials predicting a further rise in the maximum temperature in the city on Thursday. However, there is a possibility of light rain lashing some parts of the state, particularly the higher reaches in districts like Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Pithoragarh on April 14. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 36 ºC and 16 ºC respectively in Dehradun on Thursday.
