Uttarakhand is set to receive rain/snow because of western disturbance for two days starting from Saturday. Stat weather department has forecast that rain/snow would occur at a few places in Garhwal region and at isolated places in Kumaon region of Uttarakhand for the next 48 hours. Snowfall is likely to occur at places with height 3500 metres and above on Saturday.
The minimum temperatures remained normal in the plains and appreciably above normal in hilly areas of the state. Lowest temperature three degree was recorded at Matela on Friday.
The departement forecast that In Dehradun on saturday is thunder cloud development/light rain in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 25ºC and 10ºC respectively here. On Sunday is light to moderate rain/snow at most places of the state while heavy snowfall may occur at more than 2500 m height. The dry weather will return on Monday..
