Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday chaired a high-level meeting at his official residence, issuing a series of directives to senior officials to strengthen governance and public services ahead of key upcoming events.
The Chief Minister instructed departments to prepare an effective action plan for the State Foundation Day celebrations on November 9, with a focus on ensuring maximum public participation. He also emphasized the immediate need for an action plan for the maintenance of the Nanda Raj Jat Yatra routes and for developing infrastructure at the Yatra’s halting points.
Reviewing disaster management, Dhami praised officials and institutions for their prompt relief and rescue work during the recent calamities. He further directed the preparation of comprehensive plans to tackle growing traffic congestion in cities, conduct intensive inspections to curb food adulteration, and ensure cleanliness drives across the state.
On infrastructure, the Chief Minister underlined that delays and negligence in construction and repair work would not be tolerated. He directed that the reconstruction of damaged roads be prioritized and closely monitored, particularly in areas where complaints are repeatedly reported. He ordered weekly reviews of the Pothole-Free Roads Campaign and instructed that patchwork be completed by October 31, with physical inspections by officials to ensure quality.
The meeting also included a review of the progress of flagship state schemes and programs. Dhami asked for a detailed report on their completion status.
Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu, R. Meenakshi Sundaram, Secretary Shailesh Bagoli, Vinay Shankar Pandey, ADG A.P. Anshuman, Special Secretary Dr. Parag Madhukar Dhakate, and Additional Secretary Banshidhar Tiwari were present at the meeting.
