In a bid to show solidarity with farmers and grassroots citizens, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami led a roadshow and tractor yatra in Libbarheri village of Haridwar, showcasing a powerful image of people-centric governance. More than a symbolic act, this gesture underlined Dhami’s commitment to staying connected with the land, the people, and the real issues on the ground.
Amid enthusiastic crowds, CM Dhami took over the steering of a tractor, drawing cheers from villagers, farmers, youth, and women who gathered to witness the rare sight of a sitting Chief Minister literally driving the message of farmer respect home. “This is not just a tractor ride,” said Dhami, “but a salute to the relentless hard work of our Annadata brothers. True leadership begins where sweat flows and the soil yields.”
The tractor yatra also served as a backdrop to a public dialogue on the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), which Uttarakhand has recently implemented. Addressing the crowd, CM Dhami clarified that the UCC is a law of equality, justice, and transparency, and not targeted against any religion or community. “This is the dream of Baba Saheb Ambedkar, a move towards equal rights for every citizen,” he said, emphasizing the UCC’s role in strengthening the social fabric of the state.
The Chief Minister also elaborated on his government’s rural development priorities, from technical training for modern agriculture, to startup support for youth, healthcare expansion, and better road connectivity. “Our aim is not just to develop cities, but to make villages the foundation of growth. Development must reach every farmer, every youth, and every household,” he said.
This visit, marked by both symbolism and substance, reflects Dhami’s evolving image—not just as a policymaker, but as a Karmayogi, deeply engaged with people’s aspirations. Whether it was driving a tractor or discussing constitutional reforms like the UCC, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami’s presence in Libbarheri was a strong message of grassroots governance—that politics in Uttarakhand is becoming more participatory, grounded, and responsive.
With every public engagement, CM Dhami continues to redefine leadership in Uttarakhand—rooted in simplicity, steered by resolve, and driven by the collective vision of a New Uttarakhand.
