Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated 35 development schemes worth ₹210 crore and laid the foundation stone of 20 new projects during a grand public event held in Purola, Uttarkashi district on Wednesday. These initiatives aim to boost infrastructure, tourism, health, and employment opportunities in the region.
In his address Chief Minister Dhami emphasized that these projects will directly benefit thousands of people residing in Purola and nearby areas, accelerating the region’s overall development. He said these efforts are part of the government’s commitment to ensure last-mile development and improve the standard of living of citizens.
Among the key announcements made were the upgradation of the Purola sports ground, beautification of Karna Maharaj Temple in Deora village, development of Rudreshwar Mahadev Temple in Naugaon, expansion of Naugaon Community Health Center, and construction of a bypass road from Purola-Naugaon to Mori Band via Dukana. The CM also declared the area from Devjani Ora to Kedarkantha in Mori as a designated tourist zone.
Highlighting the government’s mission of “service, good governance, and welfare of the poor,” CM Dhami praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership in driving India’s progress over the last eleven years.
Local leaders including Purola MLA Durgeshwar Lal, Gangotri MLA Suresh Chauhan, and several other officials, including District Magistrate Dr. Meharban Singh Bisht and SP Sarita Dobhal, were also present.
