Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced that the heroic saga of Operation Sindoor, a symbol of Indian military valor and strategic brilliance, will be included in the syllabus of registered madrasas across the state. With this Madarsa students will also come to know about the valour of Indian Military.
Its objectives is to instill a spirit of patriotism among students and educate them about the bravery and commitment of the Indian Armed Forces. The new chapter, dedicated to Operation Sindoor, will highlight the mission’s success and the extraordinary courage displayed by Indian soldiers. It will soon be incorporated into the updated madrasa curriculum.
Currently more than 50,000 students are enrolled in 451 registered madrasas across Uttarakhand. The inclusion of Operation Sindoor in their syllabus marks a significant step toward mainstreaming madrasa education and ensuring that students receive exposure to national achievements and values of unity, courage, and sacrifice.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami emphasized that every citizen, regardless of background, must take pride in the bravery of Indian soldiers. “Madrasas are an integral part of our education system, and it is important that students studying there are equally aware of our nation’s military accomplishments,” he said.
This initiative is part of the Dhami government’s larger vision of educational reform and cultural integration, aimed at fostering a sense of national identity and respect for the armed forces among all sections of society.
The decision has been widely welcomed, with educationists and community leaders calling it a step in the right direction toward inclusive patriotism. The new syllabus, including the Operation Sindoor chapter, is expected to be rolled out from the next academic session after review and finalization by the state education board.
