Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare and Chemicals and Fertilizers, JP Nadda, visited the sacred Adi Kailash region on Sunday as part of his Om Parvat Yatra. He arrived at Gunji Helipad, where he was given a traditional welcome by locals, who honored him with a Rang Sanskriti turban.
At the Army Guest House, Shri Nadda met with personnel of the Indian Army, ITBP, and SSB, reviewing the weapons and equipment used for border security. He commended the troops for their indomitable courage and unwavering commitment in protecting India’s frontiers in challenging conditions. Expressing the nation’s gratitude, he said, “You are the true sentinels of the nation. India is safe because of your service. We thank you for your role in the success of Operation Sindoor.”
Nadda also addressed villagers in Nabi, where he was briefed on regional development by District Magistrate Vinod Goswami, who highlighted projects under the Vibrant Villages Programme, Swadesh Darshan 2.0, and tourism development schemes, including Adi Kailash and Om Parvat Yatra infrastructure improvements.
Later, Nadda visited the Adi Kailash region and offered prayers at Parvati Kund and the temple of Lord Shiva, praying for the well-being of the nation. He praised the spiritual and natural richness of the area and noted the rise in tourism following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit, which has spurred local employment and economic growth.
Also present were Union Minister Ajay Tamta, State Minister Saurabh Bahuguna, and senior officials from civil administration and security forces.
