Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday issued a series of firm directives to senior officials during a high-level meeting held at his official residence. The Chief Minister emphasized the need for transparent governance, strict action against corruption, and prioritizing local employment in government projects.
He instructed the officials to run a continuous campaign against corruption, stressing the need for effective use and wide publicity of the toll-free anti-corruption helpline 1064. “Strict and immediate action must be taken on any complaints received. Public trust in governance must be upheld at all costs,” he said.
Focusing on verification of government documents, CM Dhami emphasized that documents such as Aadhar cards and other identification records should be thoroughly verified to prevent misuse. He directed that the ongoing verification drive in all districts should continue with seriousness, and any report of suspicious individuals or activities must be acted upon without delay.
The Chief Minister also underscored the importance of protecting government land, instructing officials to take continuous action against illegal encroachments. “There should be no compromise in reclaiming government property from illegal possession,” he said.
Highlighting the need to boost local employment, CM Dhami said that in the construction of government buildings and infrastructure, local workers should be given preference. He emphasized that this would not only generate local jobs but also ensure greater accountability and faster project execution.
In addition, the Chief Minister directed officials to submit a detailed report on actions taken in cases related to illegal conversion, reiterating his government’s commitment to maintaining law and order in the state.
These instructions are part of the state government’s broader efforts to ensure clean, efficient, and citizen-focused administration.
