In a bid to ensure the effective implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has directed the Director General of the Administrative Training Institute (ATI), Nainital, to conduct regular training courses for government employees on UCC provisions.
In her letter, CS Raturi emphasized the need for comprehensive knowledge among government officials regarding various UCC provisions, processes, and responsibilities. She highlighted that the Administrative Training Institute can play a crucial role in this initiative by developing a group of resource persons to train officers and employees from different departments.
She also suggested including UCC training as a regular course at ATI to ensure continuous capacity building. Additionally, a detailed training module covering the legal and administrative aspects of the UCC, registration procedures, and IT portal usage should be prepared.
To ensure widespread awareness, district-level training sessions will also be organized, enabling government officials at all levels to be well-versed in the new legal framework. The initiative aims to streamline the UCC’s implementation and enhance administrative efficiency, ensuring smooth compliance with the new law across Uttarakhand.
